Artfully written and a masterclass in writing suspense and making your audience nauseous. Definitely wanted to throw myself off the Tobin Bridge.

Somehow I'd never read anything by this author. This is OLD, but a friend recently recommended her newest one, so I thought I'd try this first. Fast read, overly dramatic, but good.

I got this book from my mom years ago. Sadly, thrillers are not my genre and I get squeamish over medical/surgery descriptions. So this was not a book I would have picked out. It was entertaining enough though. The first 100 pages were too slow for my taste, and the ending too predictable.

This is a nice, fast-paced medical thriller, with a very likeable main character (Abby) who is trying to fight against a whole team of unscrupulous doctors dealing in illegal transplants. Quite predictable, but enjoyable nevertheless. I love Tess Gerritsen's writing and most of her books are quite a treat, even despite the overall repetitiveness, as it is the case with thrillers, both medical and not.

Multiple perspectives that tie together in one of my favorite twists ever read.

Harvest was recommended to me by a visitor to my site. Thanks, I enjoyed it.
Oftentimes when you read a novel about the profession in which the author was, at least you'll get an in depth perspective of that area.
In this case, the medical profession. Harvest focuses on organ
transplants, and the story involves organ donation on the black market.

Interesting stuff, and a very readable and exciting story. It would
appeal to just about anyone with an interest in this. All in all, a pretty formulatic thriller though, so I mildly recommend it.

I couldn't put this down, the story was so intriguing. The idea that money can buy anything and that there was a "secret group" was wild. It definitely makes you wonder if things like this are possible, with the demand for organs and the wait list that people have to go through. If you're desperate enough to live, what will you resort to?
