Reading The Witch Elm first means I guessed pretty much every plot twist, but in true Tana French fashion the plot twists are not the thing that sucker punches you in the end. 

I cannot recall the last time I have been so miserably depressed over heterosexuals I’m trapped back in those woods, just like Rob.
