I heard so much about "No Exit" that I really expected the other plays by Sartre to be great. The first play was great, the next two were fine, and the last one was awful.
"No Exit" was a really interesting piece on hell and how people can torture each other, and I found it very compelling. It was very good and I hope to see it live some day.
"The Flies" and "Dirty Hands" were perfectly fine. A Greek myth retelling and a political theory play; and they were interesting enough. I did prefer "Dirty Hands" over "The Flies".
"The Respectful Prostitute" was racist and I don't think it should have been written!
Maybe Sartre's other work is better, but I'm feeling rather disappointed.
