Are you seeing a pattern in my book reviews? I was indeed a very focused child when it came to reading Halloween-themed stories. Go me.

This book is again a strong one for introducing young readers to reading by themselves. Little Witch has a hard time being a witch because she tends to do good things, like cleaning her room and being nice to people. As punishment, her mother forces her to stay home one Halloween night instead of joining in with the group of witches. Both Little Witch and her mother learn something that night and it's a successful one for several reasons. I found it very fun to reread, but like most level "learn to read" books, it probably won't be as much fun for kids once they've mastered the language and moved on, though they might enjoy it later in life.
