I really, really wanted to like this book. I found the concept interesting and the cover art really grabbed me, but the actual text left me wanting. Everything felt two dimensional and generic, even though I can't think of another book I've read that matches this one in plot. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good, it just sort of was. This may be another of those books I would have loved if I'd been a bit younger.

i like the inspiration from the princess bride, but i just cant see myself rating this much higher than a 3 stars- nothing about it has really gripped my attention or intrigued me to encourage me to continue

this book was SO good!!! it very closely resembles the princess bride in way of the plot and the storyline. this is an amazing ya fantasy book with a little bit of romance 1000000000000% recomend
