i would’ve been pissed at the ending of this book had victor been the one to kill eli. but since it was sydney, i’m actually very happy with it. if victor killed eli, then the only acceptable fate would’ve been eli killing victor as well; very poetic. but it’s very cathartic that it’s sydney killing him, holds similar amounts of meaning that way.

doesn’t mean i’m not upset that my child, eli cardale, is dead. that’s so mean of ve schwab to do
