I really liked it
It’s YA lit but the emotions feel real and the story constructs itself to make sense. World is well built and bitterblue learns with us.

I really wanted to love this book, but it was just too confusing, too slow in some places and some of the details seemed really sketchy. I enjoyed it, but didn't love it as much as Graceling and Fire. Whatever Cashore chooses to write after this I will definitely still read!

Enjoyable read but predictable in the beginning it felt as though I had read the story before.

It was nice getting to reread this book, I did not necessarily need to read the previous book fire before reading this book, so, although the story made sense, the first time, reading it after the book fire, which was a pivotal characters, backstory, and how it shaped this new cityreally gave me a different perspective
