DNF @ 61%.
The characters were okay but bland. The banter was about the only thing I really liked but it wasn't enough to keep me going unfortunately.
I am not liking my current DNFing streak and I can't tell if it's me or my choices. HELP.

Lauren Asher strikes again, and strikes true!
Love this book for being dreamy yet realistic not dramatic.
Perfect characters, side characters, already knowing-guessing who all will be starring in the next two books, and the small town vibe! When you live in a town like that why would you want to ever leave home!
I was equally invested in and equally likef both the POVs, which is a rare feat, so...
And, I've been sooo over contemporary romances, yet this one caught me. So glad for that. Hope this interest holds.
Oh also the debut by Callahan, Alana and Cami. Sure, I'm going to reread the Kane Brothers series again, no questions!

I devoured the “dreamland billionaire” series that Asher wrote so automatically picked this one up thinking I’d love it. And it wasn’t *bad* but just wasn’t the same caliber as her previous books. Not enough chemistry between the characters for my liking, almost like it was too easy for these two to fall in love. They’re clearly perfect together and there wasn’t enough friction/tension for me to get fully invested in their love story.
That being said, I continue to enjoy how Asher brings a view into other cultures (loved the Spanish translations throughout) and that she brought back our dreamland characters into this series! I will also continue to hope that my husband is a secret billionaire and has been holding out on me.
