I received this book through a giveaway on Goodreads. I loved this book. The language was beautiful and descriptive. There were some heavy themes throughout, but Conroy broke it up with a bit of humor every now and then. The characters were well fleshed out and I genuinely cared for them. I am a bit unsatisfied with the ending, but I'm not sure what type of an ending I would even be happy with.
