A sweet romance between two people who just want to be accepted. The world building was interesting and I hope to read a book set in this world again! The romance and fantasy balanced each other nicely throughout the book. This is one of my favorite books this year.

Felt like Jester giggling reading this. Might be a bit confusing for non CritRole fan to read, world-building-wise. Perfectly good fantasy smut otherwise.
The smut part didn’t consume the book (thank Mercer) but when it was time for it, hoooo boy

Pudding the horse is the real MVP of this book.

This was SO STINKIN CUTE I’m mad it’s over. I’m not a fan of Critical Role nor do I play D&D but none of that mattered going into this book. This is just a wholesome journey that I loved being a part of.

Guinevere is so cute and charming. She gives major Rapunzel from Tangled vibes. I would read a whole series of books of her grand adventures if I could. And Oskar is so down bad for her always. I loved them both so very much.

Idk if Thea has plans to write anything else with this couple but if she does, I’ll be reading it no questions asked.
