It shouldn't matter to the content but the format of this book is so sweet - it's tinier than you would expect so it's easy to slip into a pocket or a bag, which means it's easy to carry around. And I am wont to do that, I think.

All of these poems are meditative, sometimes discordant, always worth a second (and third...) read.

The thoughts connect throughout the book in a way I haven't seen in some time. It makes the pieces feel "curated" and whole even though they are clearly meant to stand alone.

These poems do all the things the best poetry does: they are open to contemplation, but don't require interpretation. They are serious, but not stuffy. And, in my opinion the toughest of all, they leave room to encompass the reader's own (but author unknown...) experiences.

I'll definitely seek out Squillante's other works.
