I don't think I've read a novella before. This was my first. I hope Jody has plans to make this into a longer book. I like that it only took me a couple of hours to read but it left me with a lot of questions. The story line moved really fast and spread a month or so amount of time into a whole book. I love the way Jody writes. She gives you tons of detail but doesn't beat the details to death. I'm going to give this book 5 stars but I really hope there is another book in the works for these characters.

A sweet and sexy read, Finding Charity show us that miracles can happen during the holidays if only the person is shown the way. Mark Lyons is a self centered, selfish business man whose only interest is the bottom line. During his company Christmas party he meets a mysterious woman who sets his world on fire and makes him look at the world with different eyes. What begins as a way to espedite her Christmas duties so he could have her to himself turns into so much more when he gets a real look at the real homeless and impoverishment issue happening right beneath his own nose. Although I'd love to lay all the responsibility of his change at Charity's door, the fact of the matter is that we do get a glimpse of Mark's softer side in his interaction and feelings for his secretary, Jane. Charity may have been the catalyst, but I believe Mark had redeeming qualities already that just needed to be tapped in to.

I greatly enjoyed reading Finding Charity. The characters were engaging and the story well written. I only wish it were longer. It seemed a bit rush towards the end and could do with slowing things down just a bit and letting the reader have time to care about Charity's situation.
