As for the narration, Hillary Huber does a good job as far as inflection goes, and she does the main character perfectly. But I just couldn't get past certain things, like giving a born and bred Bostonian a Southern accent, or the teens' voices. Or the fact that it's clearly a white woman doing Black people's voices... It was distracting at times and pulled me out of the story.
I'm debating on getting the second book in Audible or just reading the ebook.

I love Lisa Gardner books and this one was no different. A standalone novel the central character of Frankie Elkin stands up to Gardner’s tradition of compelling female
leads.
An alcoholic with tragedy in her past, Frankie now focusses on tracking down missing people who have largely been overlooked or forgotten by everyone but the families who have lost them. As a civilian she can reach people the police can't and has successfully solved 14 missing people mysteries. Unfortunately in every case all she has been able to do is give the families and answer and a body to bury.
She has no reason to suspect that the search for 15-year-old Haitian refugee Angelique will end differently, but she has hope.
Gripping and believable with well-rounded characters this is another fantastic story feom Lisa Gardner.
Moderate: Addiction and Gun violence
