I’m obsessed! I thought it was a guy the whole time and I was convinced it was Judd. But i love these types of things. I HATE LIA. Insufferable actually. I really like Briggs my king loves them all. Sloane is just there. I hated Micheal at first but he definitely grew on me but idk if I like him or dean more?

Enjoyable but especially in the first half of the book I couldn't form any relationship to the characters. In the end it got better and more thrilling until I got it figured out before Cassie and everyone else lol

It honestly is a 3-star book, but I think it deserves a little extra for its incredibly impactful writing and unexpected plot twist.
This book moves very slowly at first and takes a while to get to the actual mystery portion. Half the characters are likable while the other half are annoying or just bland. This includes the main character who doesn't seem to have an established personality.
However, the book itself is very well written and showcases Jennifer Lynn Barns' remarkable talent.
The thing that really saved this book for me was the plot twist. With these types of books, I like to predict "Who done it" and I'm usually right, but this time every single guess I had was wrong! After the reveal, I sat there for a while reanalyzing the book and trying to pick out all the hints of the character being the bad guy. In reevaluating, I realized how genius that twist really is.
This book has a lot of flaws, but if you like mystery and a good plot twist, I would suggest you read it!
