This book, while not a bad read, just moved a bit too slow for my usual taste. I found myself dragging my feet to finish some chapters and the book as a whole. The twist ending was to be expected towards the later chapters and I would have liked to know more about the
life that Vesper had after the demise of the cult. The allusion that she still had her powers was intriguing and it would have been interesting to see that built upon. Was she now immortal? Does she still feel her father’s watchful eye?
Overall, I think this book can be something enjoyed by a variety of audiences. It just wasn’t quite what I was looking for.
