¿Qué puedo decir de Colleen Hoover que no haya dicho ya? Creo que le voy a crear una carpeta porque tiene tantos libros maravillosos. Este libro me atrapó desde el capítulo uno, en el cuatro no quería dejar de leer. La historia me ha ido sorprendiendo a medida que avanzaba. Y no es la primera vez que la leo, es decir, sé que puedo esperar de ella pero OMIGOD.
La historia me ha fascinado, sé que este es el libro favorito de mucha gente y puedo entender a la perfección el porqué. Esta historia nos habla sobre el maltrato, y nos lo presenta de una manera que incluso "podría" hacerte dudar de lo que lees, de lo que piensas y de lo que sientes. Puesto que el maltrato no siempre se ve venir, no siempre es una persona monstruosa. No quiero tocar mucho el tema para evitar hacer spoilers sobre el libro. Lo voy a resumir como " Sometimes the one who loves you is the one who hurts you the most".
Los personajes me han encantado. Lily me parece un personaje increíble, como ella sola va procesando todo lo que ve, como es fuerte y decidida cuando tiene que tomar las decisiones. Sigue siendo un personaje compasiva, sigue sabiendo quién es, aunque dude de sí misma.
En cuanto a Atlas, lo he adorado desde el primer momento. Su aparición me ha encantado pero me ha faltado tanto, pero taaaaaanto de este personaje que ahora puedo entender a la perfección los comentarios que leía de otras personas sobre este libro. Le adoro, o sea, la maravilla de personaje.
Me parece una historia super necesaria de leer, porque es muy fácil juzgar desde fuera ciertas situaciones, pero tienes que verte dentro para darte cuenta. De verdad, que súper recomendado. Si buscáis algo que enganche, que cuente una historia preciosa y con personajes a los que amar, es vuestro libro. El nivel de inglés es bastante fácil de llevar, así que si tenéis un nivel medio leedlo, que no os agobie el inglés.

Easy Read
Colleen is one of my favorite authors as I always find myself sucked into the story. I will say that I just felt like all in all the book was a bit anticlimactic, at the end I just found myself wanting something more. Reading the inspiration of the book and how some of the circumstances were connected to her life was very eye-opening and I love that Colleen gave us that insight in the Notes From the Author.

the first half of this really was not doing it for me but then Atlas’s storyline really kept it going. i also was very content with Lily’s choices…. although (this might be a hot take) I think Lily should’ve gotten an abortion… she didn’t even want a baby at the time she got pregnant like why’d she keep it?! Also in a weird way i was expecting this to be a proper steamy romance but was not greeted with those said expectations hahah
also don’t really understand the great importance or necessity for Atlas to be homeless in his teens; I get him and Lily had the connection through abusive home lives but… i don’t know it felt a bit unnecessary to me
however overall I do think Colleen did a good job explain the emotional turmoil of domestic abusive relationships especially to people who have (gratefully) not had to witness or endure said relationships

It is a very addictive and quick read. However I don’t think it does the entire situation of domestic abuse justice. It must be nice to be able to escape the situation when you have the means to support yourself. However this is for a lot of women not the reality.
wow. i honestly don’t have much to say. this book took over my thoughts and feelings for the past 24 hours. i truly had such a hard time putting it down. it is such a great story with so many truths that everyone needs to hear and understand.
My tear ducts are kindda traumatized. I've been crying non-stop because of this freaking book...
