I went into this one blind. All I knew was that it is super popular and is the first in a series. At first I thought it was cheesy. It remained cheesy but got into some tough topics. I do appreciate when a book gives me a new perspective, and I found that here.

Loved this!! The emotions this book put me through, wow. Cried a bit.
DNF hoodstuk 9/37. Note to self: Lees geen romance boeken meer, alleen maar omdat iedereen ze geweldig vindt. En al helemaal niet via audioboek. (maar deze was ook wel too spicy for my liking)
I think four hours in is far enough to know I do not like the writing, I do not like the characters, and I think this is a poorly done romance. The pace being as fast as it is contradicts both of the characters in how they were presented, the 'dirty talk' makes me cringe, and the author does not know how to show and not tell. Being spoonfed a plot is not fun for me.
Maybe I would have seen this to the end, but I draw the line at a love triangle. I don't like them most the time and in a book like this? No way.

So glad the Blake lively drama didn't ruin this for me. Glad it was a happy ending, some of it was a tough read but great book!
