The characters were amazing and Lily was such a strong person. I am entranced and still a little fuzzy from just finishing it. Yet, It was not a five, nor a four star read.

Sobbed. I haven't seen the new movie, but I knew what I was getting into before reading. I know people who have endured this, and I can't imagine it.

I think Mariah reccd this as she gave me the book. Finally Got around to it. I guess I’m a pansy bc I didn’t like reading about DV. Also some of the things that happened I was like cmonnnn. Easy read tho which was nice
I enjoyed the story line. Unfortunately, the language and sex scenes were too much. I did see the movie and it was great. No profanity and sex scenes handled discreetly.
Nothing more than a beach read. Purely superficial reading, something light after Pincher Martin lol. Met expectations.

Heartbreaking. Beautiful. Powerful. Wrecked me 2 years ago & wrecked me again on my reread. I’m so ready for the movie & to watch this story come to life. I foresee a lot of tears.
