Dark. So very dark. Very messed up and demented, yet I was still intrigued to learn more. Definitely not for the the faint of heart
Loved loved this book! Could not put it down once I started. I've fallen for Caleb & Livvie! This book had me go OMG more than several times on the train while reading it. Non stop moments that made me Gasp in delight!

I skimmed trough this whole book, it felt like the plot was poorly written and not thought through. There are "flashes" back to the past of the characters at random times which.. yes felt random and rushed. I read the book for the smut, but it didnt really do that right either. The scenes didnt have much detail nor energy or chemistry. ALSO the plot doesnt conclude because there is a second book, which to me seems unnecessary. i will give the book some credit for trying to satisfy a rather taboo fantasy- it didnt succeed (for me at least) but the attempt was there :)
Damn, this book is intense. Never read it if you couldn't stand dark romance because it's definitely not for the faint of heart.
No spoilers here: I expected a trashy erotica book with little plot or character development so it took me forever to get around to reading it but I really should've read it sooner! I don't give 5 star ratings lightly but I thought the author did a great job of covering all of the complicated emotions that go with a Stockholm syndrome situation.
I think too many people compare this category of books to 50 shades type of books and this is not that. It's not meant to be some kind of contractual bdsm arrangement where both parties consent, it is definitely a kidnapping situation. Oddly enough, it's not entirely rapey either. It's a more complicated situation and I think the TW "dubious consent" makes sense. So just be aware of that, and know there are definitely some messed up situations.
This book has well developed characters and a great (but dark) story and the narrator for the audiobook is amazing.

Intense and gripping. It grabs you and doesn’t let go. I’m quite sure I felt every emotion possible while reading this book. Amazing writing. Captivating story. A must read.
