I didn’t know this book was going to be such an emotional rollercoaster but this had me right in my feels. This book made me happy, sad, frustrated, everything. I didn’t know what this book would be about exactly. Just thought some normal friends to lovers trope. But this was so much more. Such an unexpected storyline. And so so well written. 4 instead of 5 because I did feel like some parts were a little too dragged out.

I can tell this was a debut novel, and if I hadn't read and loved Abby Jimenez before, I don't know that I'd still read her after this one.

All that to say, I did finish this in two days, and I did cry, and I still love love. I found the beginning to be way too slow and could have easily given up if I didn't know how talented Abby Jimenez is....because the start of this was a lot of stereotypical annoying-news. However, once we got past that, I fell in love and am looking forward to reading about Sloan in the next book in the series!
