This book grew on me the more I read it. Very interesting coming of age story; however, the ending was kind of abrupt and disappointing.

A really weird want to be Glee x Euphoria type of book.

The MFC tries way too hard to be Rachel Berry.

Her co-workers make their job site seem like the Euphoria set.

There was a decent amount of good language, and it made me crave coffee, red wine & dark chocolate.

good book, but not great :) i liked the way it's formatted for the most part, but it was occasionally confusing; the characters are relatable, irritating, and off-putting all at once. not a book i'd recommend to everyone.

The pace and plot of this book were too slow for me, and in saying they were too slow, I mean to say that they were nonexistent. Danler's writing was gorgeous, but I couldn't care less about Tess, or her relationship with the intellectual bad boy, or with the snobby mother figure in this book. I didn't mind reading about her story, per se, but I was left thinking, "what was the point?". I would pick up another work by Stephanie Danler, since I liked her writing style so much.
