'Bizarre and emotional' seems to be the best way of describing this book. The Seep has talking bears, an alien entity that permeates everything and adults that decide to become babies again, yet it speaks directly to our own ordinary, human struggles. This is a story about grief, adaptability, mortality, the purpose of art, love in its ever-changing forms. A utopia-turned-dystopia that ends up being none of those things, because even paradise isn't exempt from pain. It's full of love and hope, and every scene exudes delight in its own weirdness.

I read the final pages this morning and had a little cry. But I also had so much fun. If life hadn't gotten in the way, I could've finished this in one sitting. My heart has grown a size and I kinda want to re-read this already.
