I enjoyed this one, it is a bit slow here and there but I loved the flow of the story! If you love a good slow burn that isn't too easy to figure out pick this one up!

The build up was great, but the ending wasn’t what I was expecting, and I was kinda let down. It had a very eerie vibe though. It was also slow in the beginning and read like a novel.

BOH indie brawl
Maybe I'm weird, but it was the Oksana storyline that kept me intrigued. From the very beginning when we meet her, (or should I say a portion of her) I knew that I wanted to keep reading.
There were plenty of other characters, almost too many at one point for my mind to keep up with, but the more I read, the more I felt like I was reading about old friends. Like I could feel their bonds through the words on the pages.
I pretty much knew bits and pieces of how things evolved before the truth was revealed, but that didn't take away from the reading experience

This book really surprised me. If ‘I know what you did last summer’ had a lovecraftian love-child with your favorite cop drama. Definitely suspends reality a lot in the end to fit the plot but I was okay with it because the author kept it fun. Just really amazing depictions of body-horror while also maintaining suspense. This is a duel timeline but it really spends most of the duration in the past where all our juicy action and story occur.
