It's not a good sign when you start skipping pages at the beginning of the book so I dnf'ed it all together. I just couldn't deal with the author's rambling about the protagonist's childhood and teenage years and everything he's ever done/said/thought. That's what happens when an author writes a self-insert, I guess. Sorry, couldn't care less.

This is one of the most interestingly formatted books I have read. It’s a fictional “true crime” book written about a real small town. The author or book writes as himself in the first person and this is his hometown. Some characters are real some are not but the serial killer aspect is fiction. There are real photographs which makes this fictional true crime book come to life. I thought this was very well done and I’m eager to get to the sequel.
