This was overall an enjoyable book, I just wouldn't say it was a very exciting book. The romance was missing a bit of a spark that I need to get super invested in two characters, and while I enjoy that there were plot conflicts outside the relationship and that the relationship conflict itself felt pretty real ("I was judgemental/an asshole and I realized too late that I made a mistake" is hella valid), I always dislike when conflict could easily be resolved with a single conversation and the characters just choose not to speak. Feels kinda lazy, ya know.
I did really like the film production aspect of the story, and Lila and Noa felt like real and flawed people which made me interested to see how their dynamic would work out, but I can't quite put my finger on what was lacking in their relationship to make me really root for them. I can't really think of anything that made me *heart eyes* over them so maybe that was the problem. They didn't really get the chance to reach that level.

Tbh almost dnf it. But the stalker subplot keep me listening(but this is a romance). And at least the ending (especially the epilogue saved it)
Like this is a love story but there’s like almost no chemistry between the characters. Yes I like a bit of miscommunication… but here, it just makes things worse.
Anyway…

This is one of those books where it’s just like “yep, this is definitely a book”. Some of the plot was exciting and I think the stalker plot device was literally just to have something other than their relationship to talk about but overall the book was nice. I like the LGBTQ rep throughout the characters, felt very authentic. I think the conflict between the two main characters was good too. This is a nice cheesy romance.
