really cute book i just sometimes found the characters insufferable (also the song i chose for this book was “Is It Really So Strange?” by The Smiths)

This is academic rivals-to-lovers over the course of 24 hours during a SCAVENGER HUNT on the last day of high school. Additionally, there is flirty banter, deep convos, first kisses, freckle worship, a written love confession, and a bonus chapter at the end from Neil’s perspective.
And while I love a girl on a mission to defend the reputation of Romance, it felt a little… preachy? I don’t know if that’s the right term. Either way, power to the Romance readers of the world.
