Ania Ahlborn is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. This book achieved everything I'd wanted in Pet Semetary and it left me captivated right up to the last page.

Competently written and the story rips along at a good pace, never losing me (though it tends to hop heads a little too often), but there's nothing really new here.

I was so ready to give this like 3 stars but the last third of the book had me shaking in my boots.

Kids, the dark, and the south are scary… and this book solidifies that! I was so wrapped up in this story I couldn’t put it down. Left me uncomfortable, sad, angry and a little confused, which is exactly what I was looking for in a book like this!

I love a short read especially when it’s creepy right from the start. That ending was jaw dropping. And the dad’s past was something i was not expecting. I liked the way jacks past is said through the book as we go through the present time and unravel all the secrets
