brogan7's review against another edition
slow-paced
3.5
A strange book, for one I so anticipated. She spoke almost not at all about her scoliosis! I waited for the chapter where she would open up about it, and then she never did!
Her peace-making with her mother felt very heady--very interpretive--very talking about, rather than just telling the story. I wanted her to stay with it a little bit longer. (With the emotional piece. With how it was, for her, as a kid.)
Overall, sadly disappointing.
