Love the idea of this book!! Goes into the history about how we know what we know now - the theories and the discoveries in astrophysics, geology, chemistry etc.
There is SO MUCH INFO in this book - I feel like the book would be so much better if you are not rushing through. I think I ruined it for myself a bit by rushing through the book to finish it before loan period expires lmao

Read a few chapters but haven’t finished it. This would be a good read some time in the future. So far, I enjoyed it.
Phenomenal read with a lot of interesting anecdotes interspersed within this history of everything. Particularly great because the book was always willing to admit where we as a species have gaps in knowledge.
The book gave me a lot of perspective on how infinitesimally small a corner of the universe we occupy and how short a time we've been around as a species.
