This is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy listening to on audiobook - a little bit about a lot of topics. The structure is basically how various scientists (usually the author points out how cheerful or otherwise notable their names are) discovered various facts about the universe, our solar system, our planet, and life on it (not a lot of social or behavioral science in here).
