I absolutely loved this! This compiles issues 1-4 of this swashbuckling tale and is a zippy read. It's full of women kicking ass and men being douches and I am here for it. The art is full colour and absolutely *stunning*, I'm in awe of the skill involved in making such incredible pictures page after page. The action is clear and visually easy to understand. There is a lot of graphic murder. Maybe probably don't read a graphic novel about pirates if you don't like things "too murdery". I thought there was plenty happening in the story line and it definitely left me wanting more, so I hope there are further volumes in the works!

I found the author's note in the back about weird Floridian pirate traditions (of course it's Florida) and the real life background and inspirations for the story really interesting. The progress sketches by artist Craig Cermac just further cemented my awe of the skill involved in creating something like this.

If you like badass women and stunning art, and don't mind a few axes to chests and swords through throats, you really can't go wrong with this one!

Thank you to Diamond Book Distributors for a complimentary digital copy of this volume, my opinions are honest and my own.
