In this book Mia and her classmates are helping to build houses for others. This book was a super quick read and made me realize I'm not really a fan of novellas and shorts in series.

I picked this up at the used book store because I've been reading this series and I'm a completist. The library didn't have it. It's a teensy little thing and I'm unsure why the author even bother except to make a few bucks. It was more of a short story that you might find in a compendium, but yeah. Nothing much going on here.

This was an adorable little story that made me laugh out loud. Could have used more Michael, though. Hahahaha.

In this short novella, Princess Mia plans for and goes on a humanitarian trip with her school, to help build homes for poor families. Of course, being a teenager, a lot of her focus is on trying to get some time alone with her boyfriend, Michael. As usual, Mia finds herself in awkward circumstances and winds up learning or appreciating something she didn't realize before her latest adventure.

This is indeed a short little book, at just 50 pages. Still, the cover price was just $2.99. I am glad that I was able to get it through the library, though, since it is such a quick read. Given the style and format of the previous four books, and how this one does not differ very much, I wonder why the author and publisher released this separately, rather than just including it in either Volume IV or Volume V.

Still, the book was just as enjoyable and well written as the rest of the series, and I am eager to request Volume V from the library and continue enjoying Mia's journey to the throne of Genovia. As I've mentioned in my reviews of the previous books, watching Mia grow as a person, including those kind of embarrassing, growing pains kinds of moments, reminds me of when I was a teenager myself.
