A debut, dual POV novel set on a beautiful Thailand island that promises paradise but gives something else entirely. Cass, a scuba diver instructor with a secret, ends up with a dead diver and another injured. Brooke, a social media influenster, who seems to be running from her past. Both characters are well developed, and its a slow start of the book. I was grateful I really enjoyed the setting of the novel to push through because the twist in the epilogue got me good! This novel game me big Reckless Girls vibe with a bit more mystery if that was your cup of tea.

Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to advance read this novel! Look forward to seeing others reading it when it releases Feb. 13th, 2024.

This was 4 stars up until the epilogue. Super fun and dark and twisty vacation vibes with a lot of individual back stories without getting bogged down in it. Going to spoiler out the rest of my review just in case.
The epilogue was honestly not totally shocking and very realistic because of course that scummy ass man is behind it all but at the same time so disappointing. Like I read fiction books to escape reality, not be reminded of real life men are monsters and get away with it. I’m so sad for Brooke, she finally is trusting a man after so fucking much trauma and he’s piece of shit Neil. Again if we’re realistic, it tracks but I don’t want to be!! I would’ve been happy if any of the women were the actual killer. Greta doing it all was wild and I loved that but spinning it back to Neil was gross and I hated it so much it lost a star lol.

This one was pretty good. The twist caught me by surprise but there were so many characters from so many different places that at times I struggled to keep them sorted.

It was hard to get into in the beginning, but then it hooked me. I didn’t see the ending coming.
