The best part of the audiobook is that at least one of the narrators mispronounces a surprising number of words and it keeps you on your toes (in a way the story doesn't).

I will write an indepth review after I let my thoughts settle. But overall it was a good book imo, it definitely seemed by the synopsis it was like the movie fantasy Island meets a murderous TV show/game minus the prize money at the end and it was definitely not that lol. But more thoughts to come.

More like a 3.5. A little convoluted. Character development was a bit superficial - partially because there were too many. Entertaining enough.

Trigger warnings: A scene and occasional discussion of sexual assault, brief discussion of child grooming, violence.

This book was wildly unrealistic, almost to the point of being laughable, but that didn't stop me from being entertained by it. I definitely had to suspend reality on multiple occasions, and to be honest, I could have done without the scene of sexual assault that felt a bit like an afterthought. The plot could have used some tightening up, but once I learned not to expect realism, I mostly enjoyed the book in the same way I might enjoy a corny slasher flick. You won't need a lot of brain cells for this one, but it was a fun ride nonetheless.
