This wasn't for me. Did I read it in two sittings? Yes, but that's not the point.

Basically, A Thousand Miles is a People We Meet On Vacation rip-off, but worse (I actually liked PWMOV). The varying POVs didn't fulfill its potential; the characters sort of blended together, and the pacing was definitely odd from the start. If there's something I like, it's a slow burn, and they were practically inches away from kissing in the third fucking chapter. I just wanted to read a good summer road trip romance. Is that too much to ask for?

By the way, that high school reunion scene was straight out of a Netflix rom-com, and I mean that in the worst possible way.

Objectively good book, but some of the characters and storyline hit a little too close to home and it was hurting my brain to read it. But not in a bad way, in a I personally should read this way

Second Chance Romance is my book candy and this book absolutely delivered on that end. I found Dee as an adult and as a teen to be very frustrating and at times insufferable while I also tried to have compassion for her/my teenage self. I found
the microphone scene at the reunion
to be extremely cringy but I'm not here to yuck someone else's favourite romance tropes.
