I have been thoroughly enjoying Rory’s take on omegaverse and this book is no different.
The author has a way of writing FMCs that have me instantly loving the character. This FMC is no different and I couldn’t help cheering for her throughout.
The banter is top notch and I found myself laughing and looking forward to these interactions most of all. I did enjoy the FMCs relationship with the guys and I may have picked a favorite early on.
I did enjoy this book but I feel like it may have slowed down a little bit in some places and then I wanted a little more at the end. It’s still an enjoyable read, and I’m looking forward to seeing what this author releases next.

DNF but I think this is genuinely the winner out of the bunch out of this authors other series that take place in this universe, what was it? Knot for Me? And Party Girl?
Ugh, just take me out back to put me out of my misery. Those were uninspired. This one simply flounces that lack luster spirit back in those other novels faces and wows readers again with the FL’s vivacious, a bit (lot) crazy, and crack like personality. She’s a whip. I got to hand it to her. But what makes me adore her above all else is how. Many. Times. She pulls a fast one on her alphas.
Omfg I ate that sht up. I adore those types of moves! It’s so tiresome when the FL pulls something off but then feels guilty the whole time, or- gets away with it but no not really bc the men knew all along, or, the FL gets away with something but she can only manage it once, maybe twice the entire story before she never gets to have the upper hand or any form of control or say so again. Have this FL win, and KEEP winning pulling a fast one on her men? So satisfying. Loved that.
This was really cute and felt like something with substance to it vs those other novels in this universe I mentioned. But, ok, I did kinda vibe for a hot sec when I recognized this FL I’m pretty sure from the “I think Knot” novel?? Pretty sure it was that one I first met this story’s FL.

This story has some elements of a great RH Omegaverse; hot alpha males, a feisty omega and action (spicy and non-spicy)!
A quicker read (maybe a little rushed overall) the story follows buddying criminal Jo on a mission to steal her way into the future she wants, but when her path crosses with a trio of alpha criminals her plans are derailed.
Mac, Vette and Lark want to protect Jo, even when they don't fully understand why. There is some great dirty talking and Vette's use of "Mami" - perfection! The personality combinations for each of 3 guys were complimentary and enticing!
There was just something missing while I was reading, the story felt rushed in parts and the ending a little anticlimactic. The characters had all the great elements but the story didn't quiet deliver finished book satisfaction. However, I still enjoyed the read and will continue to read books from Rory Miles
