YA-Hex Hall is a story we have all read before, at least that's what I thought. It's twists an old and somewhat overused tale into a new exciting and unexpected delight. The twists and revelations threw me the reader into bliss with the unknown. The details and characters are so well written i felt I could reach out and touch them. I pass it to my daughters happily.

It has been a couple months since I have gave a book 5 stars and this books deserves it. It was a quick and fast paced.

I really liked Sophie. She stuck to her gut, was super funny and a character who I totally would want to be friends with. Not sure about Archer. He sounds super cute but kind of a player and whats up with totally ditching out on Sophie after he attacked her. I hope I get to find out more about him in the 2nd book.

I can't wait to read Demonglass!

I read this on recommendation from my friend Jessica. It was really good. It was everything that house of night is and a little bit less whining.

I look forward to the next one.

The audio book reader did really well also!

Really fun. Basically a YA Teen Girl's version of Harry potter. A bit on the silly side at times, and a bit predictable, but super fun. I'll definitely continue the series. I listened to the audiobook, and the southern accents were not my favorite, but that could just be me. I'm not a fan of the southern accent in general. Other than that, the narrator was fine for the most part.

There were some really great moments, but there were also quite a few I didn't like. There were times when it felt like the characters made stupider decisions than they really should have. It just left me a little frustrated at times in a bad way. I'm still interested to see where it goes and what happens. I still think the characters are great. My favorite was her dad in this one and her developing relationship with him. I do wish Archer had been in this more though. And I don't care for love triangles. But it's still just a fun story with an interesting world and twists and relationships.

Much enjoyed this. Can't always be sure who the bad guy was and that's awesome. Looking forward to the next.
