I loved the setting for this book. It reminded me SO much of the shore I spent my summers at growing up. The characters were very likeable but the story was sort of predictable and a little contrived at times. I'd call this a fun easy beach read!

When I saw that Beck wrote a work of fiction I was so eager to read it because I adored her memoir! I was not disappointed in my excitement and loved this book!

I enjoyed the character growth and the cast of characters we met. I enjoyed the love letter that the story was to small towns, family and the state of New Jersey. I enjoyed the respect and care the story gave to friendships, both new and old, and how they can fall apart and come back together through the ups and downs of life and distance. I also thoroughly enjoyed the respect she gave to grief and the layers and time it can hold onto people.

I really enjoyed this book and hope Beck continues to share more stories with us.
