Dark, visceral and bone-chilling. Always been a fan of medieval horror and I think it's safe to say this one delivers. The pacing was good, the tension was palpable, and I loved the gloomy foreboding persistent throughout the entire novella. I wish it could have been longer though, especially since the ending felt a bit rushed and somewhat anti-climactic, but can't say I fully grasped what exactly happened either, so your mileage may vary.
