I enjoyed the writing and the audio book narration was spot on. This book is less about the actual supper club (maybe like 15% of the book) and more about sad girl vibes. I appreciated the depiction of a main character who often feels like she’s the unwanted side character to everyone in her life. I think the value of this book lies in how the MC navigates anxiety, depression, and general neurospicy time. The supper club storyline didn’t add much to conversations around womanhood and body-size, but had lots of fun descriptions of food.

I learned a surprising about about sourdough starter, so that's fun.

I would like to be able to finish it after something crucial happened to the main character but never had the desire, the laziness comes to me every time I pick it up...

As far as I read, seems to be a commercial feminist book with no solid conductive thread.
