This had so much potential but fell somewhat short. Primarily, I wanted more caretaking between the MCs. The ruts could have been more detailed. I still enjoyed it, but I was left wanting more.

MMM | omegaverse | hurt / comfort | sex worker
I read Rough Heat a while ago - it was a story that stayed with me and the only complaint I had was that it felt a little short. So, obviously I was thrilled when I saw that it was being released with an added chapter.
Trust me, this story hit just as hard the second time around… oh, how my heart ached for Leo. Leo with his broken confidence and history, his big heart and misguided reasonings. He was such a loveable character, and his struggles really made my heart hurt.
Josh, Damon and Leo just clicked, even from the first meeting their chemistry was obvious and Josh and Damon never felt like “just” clients. I loved how sweet they were together and it was clear that the couple really cared about Leo, and they were so great with him.
It took some time for everything to fall into place for these guys, but I loved how it was written and how everything needed to happen in order for Leo to truly get his HEA. The hurt / comfort was amazing, as always with Marina Vivancos’ stories, and I’m so happy that I finally got a little more time with these men!
Rough Heat was a real gem to read, I loved Leo’s journey and it made for such a beautiful and moving story. If you’re into omegaverse and hurt / comfort with lots of feels to it, this needs to be on your TBR!

It was okay...? I'm writing this review more than a week after I read-skimmed it from half way point-, so I can only go by what I felt when thinking about the book.
The relationship between the 3 of them was the highlight of the book and I especially loved the relationship between Leo and Damon! It was HAWT!!! Josh was kinda like every twink in every story, peppy and outgoing.
Now for the rest of the book, it was good that Leo got the help he needed even though his sister got the rough end of the stick, but the story got loooong and meandering.
Not one of my favorites from Marina and I feel like her older stories were more thoroughly planned and executed than her latest.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I’d read the original as part of the MM Free Reads event in 2022. This is a slightly expanded version, I believe. I enjoyed my experience with both reads. It’s dealing with some heavy things in a short space: Leo’s figuring out that the sex work he fell into is really damaging him psychologically, but he’s also met this mated couple who seem to value him through that same sex work. Appropriate things happen, there is a break, he quits sex work (not because he doesn’t think it’s valid, but because it was hurting him) and the three reunite when Leo seeks them out.
It’s not my favorite book by this author, mainly because I think some stuff could have been given more room on page. I’m usually indifferent to epilogues, but I think this could have used something after they mated Leo.

Loved this. Adored all three MCs and their sweet love for each other. Was exactly the perfect story I was hoping for from my favourite writer.
