I loved this book. It was a good read. I love how he’s honest and open about his feelings. His character development was also quite nice. The smut was great too.
This novel was lovely. The whole thing was literally so sweet. I could have read much more of Em and Lucian's story!

The book was fine; I was in a slump and needed a filler book, and this was available on KU. Overall the story was just a bit boring — I liked it better than the first in the series but it’s still not that memorable. Slow burn with decent spice. Both characters had big career changes and needed to figure out who they were outside of their jobs. I loved that it took place in Montecito too!
The third act split made sense — they had to figure their identities out — it still annoyed me. I did however love Jacob‘s voiceover 🤗

Nice twist having the mmc be the baker in this one. Appreciated the mature way the two characters talked and tried to work on their relationship, even when being blind to their own faults (lucien). My main complaint would be that Emma was so self aware and emotionally mature, it made some of her later decisions a bit less believable, yet they sort of tracked with her bad run of men
