It felt like a hallmark movie that I’ve seen and I think that’s why I wasn’t much into it. However, the audiobook with Jacob Morgan is pure gold!!!
Yummy...the patisseries! A few too many nicknames pet names for my taste but added honeybee to my playlist. I find that mentions of particular songs and genres or music help to set the mood and enhance the enjoyment of the book. I have been listening to Fiona Apple and Edith Piaf on repeat since reading.
Really cute book!
I really enjoyed this book. I listened to the audio while cleaning and cooking the last 2 days and found myself giggling and blushing so many times

I read this as an audio and I absolutely loved it! I did have to teach myself how to pay attention to comprehend the book.
Lucian and Emma are at a bad place in their lives and don't know what direction to go in. They are able to lean on one another to figure out what they want with their lives now. Lucian had to retire from hockey and that had been his whole world. Emma is an actress on a TV show where her character was killed off as well as her relationship exploding in her face. I just loved how they got to know one another organically and really decide what was right for them together.

I really liked Emma and Lucian! I thought their story was cute and charismatic. The slow burn was wonderful and I truly enjoyed the HEA.
This wasn’t bad, just SO boring. I needed an audiobook to listen to while going to bed last night and this was on KU, otherwise I don’t think I would have read it. This might be a super cute friends to lovers romance for some, but it just fell flat for me. The only thing I liked were the characters. Lucien and Emma were fun but they weren’t enough to make this entertaining.

Meh I don't care about these characters and this book just has me hungry. All the food talk is great when I'm reading a cookbook, but when I'm reading a romance? I'm just annoyed. I normally love this author's book, but I can't continue.

Waffling between 4 and 5 stars but all in all a delicious book.
A couple that actually communicates?! What!!? This book was too adorable. Emma is an actress on a GoT type show who literally gets the axe. She takes a vacation to her grandmoms friends home to lick her wounds. There she meets the owners grandson who is a retired hockey play who BAKES!! Both characters have healing to go through, but find the best in each other and come out stronger in the end.
