This has been my favorite of the series so far. The one thing that has bugged me throughout though is the fact that Grace keeps referring to the vampires as 'boys' when they are continually described as being 200+ years old. I know that it is from the POV of a teen, but honestly it drives me crazy.
Other than that, this book gave me all the feels and there are themes from other books present (i.e., Hunger Games, Twilight, Percy Jackson, etc.) in my opinion that made it fun and easy to read. At the end of both books 1 & 2 I was like, nope-not going to continue on. That is until either the Epilogue or the very last line! This book had my attention all the way through and was ready for book 4 when I finished it.

keeps you on your toes!
Loved this book! Had me wondering what would happen next and connected with characters. It’s definitely a good read. Will keep reading the series !

“But that’s kind of how young love is, isn’t it? It’s idealistic and explosive and perfect…until it’s not anymore.”
This quote resume pretty well how I feel about YA, most of the time.
The drama never stop in this series. We follow Grace, Hudson and the whole gang through more plot twist you would imagine. To the point that I was getting lost on why they were doing all of it for.
The pace and tension of Covet isn’t as well managed as in Crush; leaving me often in some slow scenes and recurrent themes. One of them being about the reality of Grace feelings for the Vega brothers. Her attraction for Hudson can only be attributed to the mating bond, making it irrelevant. However, her feeling for Jaxon must be true; the irony that they began while they were mated seems to be lost on her. Even more, she used to have the same argument toward Jaxon in Crush but now she cannot recall.
Grace can be pretty mature and self-aware for some parts of the story but completely stubborn and simplistic for others which make her a bit disappointing.
I’m not a fan of using modern pop culture reference (music stars, social platform etc) as I think it will make the book age faster than necessary.
But it was still fun and entertaining. Am I happy to have read it through Libby and not spent on a physical copy ? Yes. However, Tracy Wolff continues to make surprising plot twists and I feel engaged enough to finish the series.

So so good! That cliffhanger tho! I’m left with needing answers! So glad I have Court already, but once I finish that one, it will be torture to wait til November 8th
