I feel like the story just wants too much.
- New fantasy species to get used to
- Triangle love
- Soul mate with trust issues
- Political intrigues
- Loss of a friend
- Guilt-tripping
- Subplots

I find it hard to include and follow up on all of the topics especially since Grace is important for all of them. Of course, it's her perspective but they all feel too dependent on her, too centered, too mary-sued. Her victory and success feels too guaranteed to enjoy the struggle and thrive in the excitement of the story unfolding!

The thing I genuinely liked:
- Hudson

I can't. All the emotion. The plot *chef's kiss*, the angst *chef's kiss* the imagination and artistry that went into this book...you get he point. So good!!

4.5/5 - this book continues to make me cringe in the way most YA does, but the characters are lovable and the plot moves so quickly. It’s near impossible to get bored or to find lulls to stop reading. This has probably been my favorite book of the series thus far, but I’ve said that with each book so I can’t wait to see what TW does next.

Grace pissed me off in this book- I wanted to reach into the book and knock some sense in to her- she was completely inconsistent the entire book- one minute I love Hudson- but f***him I need to save Jaxon and be with Jaxon even though he doesn’t think I’m strong and babies me…..

Whew Chile an emotional rollercoaster

DID NOT FINISH: 2%

Somehow I got through the other two books without it feeling as ridiculously juvenile as I felt during Jaxon and Grace's
break up scene
(for my taste, not in poor speech of the book)
