I couldn’t get used to switching between essays and comics, and I wasn’t interested enough in the stories to continue.

Ahh what a book. I loved it so much. The contributors are so diverse: LGBQ, trans, poly, asexual, demisexual, you name it, there's a geek girl writing about it. I had to take a break every few essays because I was so emotional. It's really nice to feel understood by something you're reading, but it can be overwhelming when it hits SO close to home. If you call yourself a geek or nerd, there's a story in here for you.

Sometimes you read something and it just rings true with you. I read this collection with the growing feeling that these are my people, stumbling blindly through romance on the page, screen and in person but with our own unique twist of geek overlaying it. Some of the art did not come through properly when trying to read through my library's ebooks app. Well worth reading.

I loved this book! I picked it up at first because I thought it was a graphic novel, but it turned out to be an anthology of essays, comics, and artwork about love written by every geeky lady you could imagine- authors, illustrators, game designers, etc. The voices and stories were diverse and talked about the ups and downs of dating, love, sex, romance, meet-cutes, etc. of real-life geek girls. Highly recommend!!

I’m sorry, I just don’t care 😬 I’m sure there are plenty of geeky women out there who would love to read these anecdotes but I barely care about romance in my own life, I have no interest in other people’s at this point.

Over all enjoyable; I love the concept and getting to witness community and love among ‘outcast’ women.
I love an anthology, but by nature they were a bit hit or miss for me.

At risk of my attachment issues being glaringly obvious, favs include:
Minas Tirith
There’s nothing wrong it must be love
They Bury You in White
Regards to the Goblin King
Ghost
Cherry
The Vulcan in Me
