I liked how the story world significantly expanded in this book, but I wish there would have been more development of the new characters and settings. Some things that seemed important felt rushed or skipped over, while other things that didn’t seem to matter as much were reiterated so many times it felt like beating a dead horse. Once again, I have more questions than answers while reading, which is probably intentional to get me into the next book. Will I read it? Probably but after a break with something else.

This book is fast paced and full of action, all sorts of action, gladitorial battles, war battles, battles of wit, of the heart and definitely lots of mind games. Finally we get some answers and some shocking revelations. There is a whole lot of love, despair, heartbreak and hope. This is definitely the biggest book so far in the series, in terms of scope, we get to see loads more of this world and lots more of the complicated relationships start to really break ground here. I love Honor and I love her bunch of arrogant and wild royal men. This series is a real treasure!

A good portion of what I thought this series was going to be about happened in this book. Interested to see where the rest of the series goes!
