This was ehhhhh for me. The writing was as good as the other books I have enjoyed by T. Kingfisher. However, I never connected with the plot. I do not know if this is the series end but if it isn't I am not going to conintue.

Sadly not as good as the first book, but still worth reading. T. Kingfisher is great at creepy ambience.

4.5 stars, rounded down.

This was a decent read. I don't think it was as good as the first book in the series, but it was good enough that I will continue the series and read the third book.

I liked What Moves the Dead better. This one was very slow and then resolved so quickly at the end it gave me whiplash. Still love the writing style and the prose, and all the characters.
