I was really looking forward to this book as I've thoroughly enjoyed reading 'My Best Friend's Girl' and 'The Chocolate Run' by Dorothy Koomson. This book has such great reviews but in my opinion, it isn't really worthy of them. All reviews speak of a huge twist at the end but as soon as the character that is involved in the huge twist is introduced, I guessed the ending already. If I hadn't have guessed it, I would have enjoyed the book much more but it all seemed a bit predictable to me. Also, at the end it wasn't intense or filled with page-turners like it should have been, it was kind of like the author just gave up. I would not have been so disappointed if it wasn't such a long book, don't get me wrong I did enjoy it but I didn't think it lived up to how highly people have spoken about it.

A seriously gripping read - I started this book this morning and have just finished it! A real page turner and highly recommended!

Me esperaba un final más cerrado pero fue bonito. En general, fue una lectura que disfruté.

I'm not usually a fan of "chick-lit" but I don't think dorothy koomson quite falls into this genre as her books normally have a lot more drama, intrigue and suspense than your usual chick-lit. This book is no exception, I think I enjoyed it as much as her previous book The Ice Cream Girls. It is the story primarily of Libby who falls in love with Jack, but is she ever going to live up to "the woman he loved before" aka Eve, his deceased wife? Great stuff!

It took me a bit to get in to the story but once I got there I just wanted to find out what happened.
The story of Eve made you think of how easy it is to end up somewhere you don't want to be because of the choices you have made.
