I’ve read all the other Never After books except Hexed and this was definitely the weakest.
I didn’t really like either of the MCs, particularly Nicholas, and didn’t feel any chemistry between them at all. I think the pacing was a bit off,when she dropped ‘I love you’ it felt like all they’d done is have sex a few times. And the killing of Dorothy and her dad all happened so quickly!!
Often the dialogue during smut in this series is a bit cringe for me and this one was definitely similar if not worse in that sense.
I didn’t like the concept of her being the Westerly’s brains and supplier hidden away, a lot of the premise was pretty intriguing it just wasn’t carried off I think.
Here’s hoping Hexed is better and I didn’t end up reading the worst two last. 🫡

Compared to Scarred, Wretched was a definite improvement. It was much more enjoyable than the second book in the series. Even though I gave Wretched the same rating as Hooked, I realized I liked Hooked more. For those wondering which retelling this is, it’s based on The Wizard of Oz

this book has my fav fmc in this entire series by far which probably says a lot about me.
wasnt a big fan of the fact that they basically just had sex a couple of times, the mmc suddenly got protective over her, and then suddenly they were in love — but the smut definitely made up for it.
plus i was kinda worried how the ending would go but i loved it and the plot twist was like one of the moments where you just wanna scream “HOW DID I NOT KNOWWW”
also this is not a safe space for dorothy likers
